Pumping is probably the most popular form of penis enlargement, people have been doing it for a long time and there is a large user base contributing to a wealth of knowledge. Pumping is mostly used for gaining girth but it can also contribute to length gains.

A penis pump works by creating a vacuum around the penis, which reduces air pressure within the cylinder. This negative pressure causes blood to flow into the penile tissues, potentially engorging the penis with a surplus of blood, creating a larger penis then what is possible naturally. The increased blood flow and subsequent expansion of the tissues can enhance oxygenation and nutrient delivery, promoting tissue health and potentially stimulating cellular growth. Regular use may result in temporary enlargement immediately after pumping, and consistent use over time could contribute to permanent size gains due to the gradual stretching and expansion of the penile tissues.

 

The cylinder size is important with pumping. Obviously you want one longer then your penis which isn’t a problem because most of the cylinders on the market are 9″ or longer. Selecting the correct width is more important.

 

The most common cylinder widths available are: 

1.5 – best for penis with a girth of 4″-4.5″

1.75 – best for penis with a girth of 4.25″-5.25″

2 – best for penis with a girth of 5.25″-5.75″

2.25 – best for penis with a girth of 5.75″-6.75″

2.5 – if theoretically you had a larger girth then 6.75″ up to 7.5″ you could try this size or bigger. 

 

As you can see there is some overlap there and room to experiment. If you are between sizes, say you have a girth of 4.5″, it would be best to purchase both a 1.5 and a 1.75 cylinder. and experiment with both.

 

Generally speaking, as you pump, if you can “pack” the cylinder (your girth fills the width of  the cylinder completely) you are at that point pumping for length because obviously your girth can no longer expand further/continue to expand, your penis will only people able to expand in length. Therefor, a cylinder on the narrower end of the recommended range for your specific girth, will be ideal for pumping for length, and a cylinder that is on the wider end of the range will give you room to grow in girth.

 

Elliptical cylinders are available. Some guys have a better experience with these due to shaft shape, if you feel the need to experiment beyond standard round cylinders go for it. Cylinders for head/glans growth are available as well for those looking for the huge mushroom tip effect.

 

Many men like to pump prior to sex because they experience temporary expansion that lasts for a few hours, this can possibly be enhanced with the use of cock rings.

 

Traditional expansion pumping method 

You perform this by going into the pump with an erection, pumping to 5-7hg (start low and over time experiment but be gradual, some very advanced men pump to as high as 12hg), staying in the pump at that pressure for 5 to 10 minutes, the pressure is then released, a rest period is taken (3-5 minutes) and then you repeat the cycle. Its common to complete 3-5 of these cycles. Start low and go easy.

 

Interval pumping method

One of the most popular method these days is called Interval Pumping. You perform this by going into the pump with an erection, pumping to 5-7hg ( again, start low and over time experiment but be gradual), staying in the pump at that pressure for 2 minutes, you then release the pressure completely, and several seconds later pump back up. It is common to repeat this cycle 5 times for a total time of 10 minutes pumped up, then a rest period is needed to get fresh blood into the penis, this rest period is usually 5 minutes, listen to your body and adjust accordingly. The cycle is then repeated repeat this all over again, usually 1 or 2 more times. You need to listen to your body and know when you have done enough and when it is time to stop.

When you are done with your pumping routine, a good indicator that you are doing it correctly for growth is that you experience a measurable girth increase afterwards. This increase could ideally be around 104% – 106% of your non pumped girth. So for example, before you pump if you measure your girth at 5″, you would ideally measure your girth after your pumping routine and see 5.25″, slightly less or more is fine but some increase should be observed.

 

You need to be careful with pumping to make sure you do not overdo it in terms of pressure or time, as you can badly injure yourself, cause blisters, and create edema. There are tons of guys on reddit who over pump and experience edema, often in the form of a donut under the glans. Go slow and easy when starting out. It is not recommended to pump on back to back days or to multiple sessions per day. Once is enough, this is a marathon not a sprint. Don’t rush into this and break your penis.

There is only one purpose built PE clamping device on the market to my knowledge and its made by Python Clamp.

 

Other then that, there is the tried and true Cable Clamp Pro, which can be found at just about any big box home improvement store like Home Depot or Walmart. The downside of the Cable Clamp is that it is a hard plastic device and has a higher chance of causing injury. If you attempt to use a cable clamp, first use a soft wrap around the base of the penis.

 

As far as soft clamping goes, toe shields (also called toe protectors and toe caps) are what people use, these are very soft and flexible and come in different sizes, you can buy a cheap variety pack on amazon which should get the job done. You can buy them in store in Walmart or most drug stores but they might cost a bit more.

Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to penetrate the skin and promote cellular function.
